Oxford is a cultural and vibrant city, full of museums (Ashmolean, Natural History Museum, Pitt Rivers antropological museum, etc) and exhibitions. Its charming scenery has been the inpiration for many writers, including Lewis Carroll and J.R.R. Tolkien. There are also many recognisable scenes from popular films such as Harry Potter and TV series like Inspector Morse.

Oxford is the birthplace of Lewis Carroll's main work "Alice in wonderland". He wrote this novel while he was maths professor at Christ Church College

J.R.R. Tolkien was studying in Oxford University and got the inspiration here for  for " The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings"
Evensong at Christ Church College cathedral, a must every time I'm in  England

It was an unforgettable experience of learning and personal growing in Oxford that truly will improve on my professional performance. Absolutely recommended!
